Raised in mouse as an IgG2b monoclonal, this unconjugated reagent from Antibodies.com targets UCHL1 (also known as PGP9.5), a deubiquitinating enzyme concentrated in neurons and neuroendocrine cells. The 100 µl format is validated for Western blot and immunocytochemistry on human samples and is widely used as a neuronal biomarker in neuroscience and tumor pathology workflows.
UCHL1 is a small ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase that removes ubiquitin from post-translationally modified substrates. Its abundant expression in peripheral nerve fibers, the central nervous system, and neuroendocrine-derived tumors makes this antibody useful for visualizing neurites, supporting studies of neurodegeneration, and staining neuroendocrine lesions such as Merkel cell carcinoma.
Each vial of 100 µl should be aliquoted on arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles; store frozen for long-term stability and keep refrigerated for routine use.
