The Antibodies.com Anti-UCHL1 Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1 (UCHL1), a deubiquitinating enzyme widely studied as a neuronal and neuroendocrine marker. Supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antisera, it is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation workflows across human, mouse, and rat samples.

UCHL1 is among the most abundant proteins in the brain, where it regulates ubiquitin recycling and protein turnover in neurons. Researchers use this antibody to investigate neurodegenerative disease models, including Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, as well as neuroendocrine tumor pathology and peripheral nerve staining. The polyclonal format increases the likelihood of recognizing multiple epitopes on UCHL1, which is useful when working with formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues where antigen masking can reduce signal from monoclonal reagents.

Because the antibody is unconjugated, it can be paired with a broad panel of HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-labeled secondary reagents, allowing users to match detection chemistry to their preferred platform, whether chromogenic IHC, immunofluorescence imaging, or chemiluminescent western blot.
