UCHL1 (Ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1) is a neuron-enriched deubiquitinating enzyme widely used as a marker in neuroscience and neurodegeneration research, including studies of Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and brain injury. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against the UCHL1 protein and validated for Western blot detection across multiple species. The unconjugated reagent is supplied in a vial as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, ready to dilute directly into standard WB workflows. It cross-reacts with human, rat, and mouse UCHL1, supporting translational studies that compare rodent models with human tissue samples. Researchers investigating ubiquitin-proteasome pathway dysfunction, neuronal damage biomarkers, or Lewy body formation can use this reagent to probe full-length UCHL1 (~25 kDa) in cell lysates and brain homogenates.
