This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1, a ~25 kDa deubiquitinating enzyme most abundant in neurons and neuroendocrine tissue. Raised in rabbit, the unconjugated IgG is supplied as 100 µl of ready-to-use reagent validated for Western blot and ELISA workflows against human, mouse, and rat samples.

UCH-L1, also referred to as PGP9.5, serves as a pan-neuronal marker in immunohistochemistry and has been investigated as a serum biomarker for traumatic brain injury and neurodegeneration. The antibody supports studies of Parkinson's disease-associated Lewy body pathology, neuroblastoma differentiation, and certain non-neural tumors where UCH-L1 expression is elevated. Researchers commonly apply it to detect endogenous protein in cell lysates, brain tissue homogenates, and cultured cells.

The unconjugated format allows flexible secondary antibody selection for chemiluminescence, fluorescence, or HRP-based detection. Aliquoting upon arrival helps limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve antibody activity. Each vial is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic applications.
