UBTF (Upstream Binding Transcription Factor), also referred to as UBF, is a nucleolar protein that drives RNA polymerase I-mediated transcription of ribosomal RNA genes. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and targets the native UBTF protein in human, mouse, and rat samples.
Researchers apply it to Western blot workflows to detect the transcription factor at its expected band size, and to immunohistochemistry preparations to localize UBTF expression in tissue sections, where nucleolar staining patterns confirm active ribosomal transcription machinery.
Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antisera, the antibody gives laboratories flexibility to conjugate it with their preferred reporter or to use it directly in immunostaining pipelines. Its polyclonal format increases the likelihood of recognizing multiple epitopes across the HMG-box-containing transcription factor, supporting robust signal in chromatin-associated and ribosomal biogenesis studies.
