UBP1 (Upstream Binding Protein 1) is a sequence-specific transcription factor that participates in immunoglobulin heavy-chain promoter regulation and has been characterized in the context of several viral long terminal repeats. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit and is supplied as 200 µl of IgG, unconjugated, for detection of the human UBP1 protein in Western Blot applications.
Because UBP1 expression is relevant to B-cell biology and viral transcription studies, this antibody is most useful with lysates from human B-lineage cell lines and other UBP1-expressing systems. To preserve activity, aliquot the vial upon arrival and store frozen; repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided. The unconjugated format also leaves labeling choice open, allowing pairing with custom secondary reagents or signal-amplification chemistries when sensitivity is a concern.
