Anti-Ubiquitin (Acetyl-K27) Antibody

Polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com raised in rabbit against the lysine 27-acetylated form of ubiquitin, a post-translational modification linked to chromatin signaling, the DNA damage response, and regulation of nuclear ubiquitin pools. The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of liquid formulation at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.11, and is provided unconjugated for Western blot workflows in human, mouse, and rat samples. Studies of RNF8- and RNF168-mediated H2A ubiquitylation, BRCA1 chromatin recruitment, and the cross-talk between histone acetylation and ubiquitin conjugation have used affinity tools directed at the Acetyl-K27 epitope to discriminate modified ubiquitin from the broader ubiquitin pool on western blots. The polyclonal format offers broader epitope tolerance for partially denatured lysates separated by SDS-PAGE, while the rabbit host pairs cleanly with anti-rabbit HRP or fluorescent secondaries. Working aliquots may be refrigerated at 4°C; for longer-term storage the vial should be kept frozen at -20°C and divided into single-use portions to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
