Ubiquitin Protein Ligase E3C (UBE3C) is a HECT-domain E3 ubiquitin ligase that catalyzes ubiquitin transfer from E2 conjugating enzymes onto substrate proteins, directing them to the proteasome for degradation. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com, raised against human UBE3C, is supplied in a 200 µL volume and supports western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) detection in research applications.

The polyclonal format enables recognition of multiple epitopes across the UBE3C protein, which is useful when probing splice variants or post-translational modifications. UBE3C has emerged as a focus in oncology research because elevated expression has been reported in several solid tumor types and is associated with altered proteasomal activity and cell proliferation. Investigators use anti-UBE3C antibodies to map expression patterns in tumor tissue, to monitor ligase levels during proteasome inhibitor treatment, and to study the contribution of this enzyme to cellular protein homeostasis.

For best results, aliquot upon first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and pair the primary antibody with a compatible HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagent appropriate to the chosen application. The product is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
