Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 I (UBE2I) is the sole SUMO E2 conjugase that drives covalent attachment of SUMO to substrate proteins, and this rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com provides a specific tool for its detection. Raised against the human target, the unconjugated reagent recognizes UBE2I in its predominantly nuclear localization, where the enzyme participates in SUMOylation-dependent control of DNA repair, cell cycle progression, and gene transcription.
Supplied as 100 µl in a vial, the antibody is validated for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows. It detects endogenous UBE2I in human cell lysates and tissue sections, enabling studies on post-translational modification pathways, stress responses, and oncogenic signaling. Researchers investigating sumoylation dynamics, nuclear import kinetics, or DNA damage checkpoint activity can apply this reagent to track changes in UBE2I expression and subcellular distribution under varying experimental conditions.
