Raised in rabbit against the human UBE1L protein (also known as UBA7), this unconjugated polyclonal primary antibody targets the E1-activating enzyme that initiates ISG15 conjugation in the interferon-driven ISGylation pathway. Supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 µl of polyclonal serum, the reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry and selectively detects the human target, supporting research into innate immunity, interferon signaling, and ISG15-dependent post-translational modification.

UBE1L/UBA7-driven ISGylation is a central effector mechanism in the cellular antiviral state and has been studied extensively in the context of interferon-stimulated gene induction and viral restriction. Loss or pharmacological degradation of UBE1L, for instance during arsenic trioxide-mediated differentiation therapy in acute promyelocytic leukemia, alters ISG15 conjugation and contributes to restoration of normal hematopoietic maturation. Researchers using this reagent can therefore probe UBE1L abundance and ISGylation status in patient-derived tissue sections by IHC or in lysates by Western blot.

Practical handling notes: the antibody is provided in a single 100 µl vial as a polyclonal rabbit serum, unconjugated and free of reporter enzymes, allowing flexible pairing with secondary antibodies of the researcher's choice. Store refrigerated and protect from light to preserve reactivity across WB and IHC applications.
