Anti-UBB Antibody

Raised in rabbit against recombinant human ubiquitin B, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as a 200 µl liquid aliquot and is validated for Western blot detection of endogenous UBB in human, mouse, and rat samples. Because the UBB locus encodes one of only four mammalian ubiquitin genes (alongside UBC, UBA52, and UBA80) that produce the 76-amino-acid ubiquitin monomer, signal changes captured on blot can be interpreted against a defined polyubiquitin-precursor framework. The unconjugated format leaves the reagent free to pair with a custom secondary reporter — HRP conjugate, fluorophore, or biotin — or to be incorporated into immunoprecipitation and chromatin-pulldown workflows that recover ubiquitin-modified substrates. UBB supplies ubiquitin monomers to the ubiquitin–proteasome system, drives ATP-dependent turnover of damaged proteins, and contributes to DNA repair, cell-cycle progression, and stress signaling; aberrant UBB expression and the molecular-misreading product UBB+1 have been reported in Alzheimer's disease and in multiple tumor types, supporting use of this reagent in proteostasis, aggregate-clearance, and post-translational-modification studies.
