Anti-Uba2 Antibody

Produced in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent, this Antibodies.com antibody specifically recognizes human Uba2, the catalytic subunit 2 of the heterodimeric SUMO-activating (SAE) enzyme that works alongside SAE1/Aos1 to catalyze the ATP-dependent activation of SUMO prior to thioester transfer and substrate conjugation. The reagent is supplied in a 100 µL vial and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, where it detects the native SUMO E1 component involved in SUMO-dependent regulation of DNA damage repair, cell cycle progression, and nucleocytoplasmic transport. For Western blot, the antibody identifies the endogenous ~71 kDa SAE2 band in whole-cell or nuclear lysates, while on fixed tissue sections it supports immunohistochemistry localization of Uba2 in normal and tumor material.
