Anti-UBA1 Antibody

The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent targets UBA1, the ubiquitin-activating enzyme E1 that catalyzes the first step of the ubiquitin conjugation cascade. UBA1 (also called UBE1) activates ubiquitin in an ATP-dependent manner, priming substrate proteins for E2-mediated transfer and downstream proteasomal degradation or signaling outcomes.

Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, supporting studies of the ubiquitin-proteasome system, protein turnover, X-linked neuromuscular disease models, and autoinflammatory research linked to somatic UBA1 variants. The polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes on the approximately 117 kDa target, which can be useful when a single epitope is masked by post-translational modification or sample processing.

Supplied as 100 µl of antiserum in a vial. For short-term use, keep refrigerated; for longer storage, aliquot and freeze at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve activity across repeated experiments.
