Anti-UAP1 Antibody

Affinity-purified polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit against human UDP-N-Acetylglucosamine Pyrophosphorylase 1 (UAP1), supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl liquid aliquot. UAP1 catalyzes the formation of UDP-GlcNAc from GlcNAc-1-P and UTP, placing it at a central node of the hexosamine biosynthetic pathway that feeds O-GlcNAcylation and hyaluronan synthesis. The unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, and immunofluorescence, supporting detection of endogenous UAP1 in human samples.

Typical uses include profiling UAP1 expression across cancer cell lines, mapping subcellular distribution of the enzyme between cytoplasm and nucleus, and tracking changes in UDP-sugar pathway flux under metabolic or pharmacological perturbation. Store the vial at 4°C for short-term use; aliquot and freeze at -20°C for longer storage to limit freeze-thaw loss of titre.
