Raised in rabbit and supplied at 200 µl per vial as an unconjugated IgG polyclonal preparation, this Antibodies.com reagent recognizes TYROBP, the 12 kDa ITAM-bearing transmembrane signaling adaptor also referred to as DAP12 or KARAP. The antibody has been validated for immunohistochemistry (IHC) on fixed tissue sections and shows reactivity with mouse and rat samples, supporting its routine use in rodent studies of microglial activation, neuroinflammation, and bone-remodeling biology where TREM2 / TYROBP coupling is under investigation.

TYROBP is expressed by myeloid-lineage cells including microglia, dendritic cells, NK cells, and osteoclasts, so this reagent is commonly applied to spleen, bone-marrow, and brain tissue sections in published mouse and rat work. Because TYROBP is a short cytoplasmic-tail adaptor, robust chromogenic staining on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections generally requires a heat-induced antigen-retrieval step before primary incubation; an HRP- or AP-conjugated secondary is then used for DAB or NBT/BCIP chromogen detection.

For storage, refrigerate the vial at 4 °C for active use and freeze single-use aliquots at -20 °C for long-term storage to limit freeze-thaw exposure of the IgG preparation. The unconjugated format leaves the choice of reporter label — horseradish peroxidase, alkaline phosphatase, or a fluorescent dye — entirely to the user's existing IHC workflow.
