Thioredoxin 2 (TXN2) is a mitochondrially localized redox regulator that supports mitochondrial protein folding and protects cells from oxidative damage. This rabbit polyclonal antibody, supplied as an unconjugated reagent in a 100 µl volume, was raised against TXN2 and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows. Provided by Antibodies.com, the antiserum cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat TXN2, enabling studies of mitochondrial antioxidant defense across commonly used model systems and cultured human cell lines. Researchers apply it to investigate oxidative stress responses, mitochondrial dysfunction in neurodegeneration and metabolic disease, and redox signaling pathways. The polyclonal format increases the likelihood of recognizing multiple epitopes on the mature TXN2 protein, which can be useful when working with truncated isoforms or post-translationally modified targets. Pair with standard HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or fluorescent detection as appropriate. Intended for research use only.
