Twinfilin-1 (TWF1) is a cytoskeletal regulatory protein belonging to the ADF-H family that sequesters G-actin monomers and inhibits spontaneous actin polymerization at barbed ends. This Rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against recombinant human TWF1, a cytoplasmic actin-binding factor that is expressed in epithelial tissues and in neuronal populations.

Validation data support its use in two routine readouts: Western blot on human cell lysates, where the antibody reveals endogenous expression levels useful for tracking cytoskeletal remodeling, differentiation state, and chemotactic response; and immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections, where it produces a cytoplasmic staining pattern suitable for mapping TWF1 distribution across tumor and developmental tissue panels.

The reagent is supplied unconjugated at 100 µL, so laboratories can select their own HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary to match their preferred detection chemistry. Because it is polyclonal, the antibody recognizes multiple epitopes on the target, which can improve sensitivity when antigen accessibility is limited in fixed samples. The product targets the human TWF1 isoform specifically, with reactivity limited to Human, and is intended for research use only.
