TUSC5 (Tumor Suppressor Candidate 5), also referred to in the literature as TRARG1 or LOST1, is a small transmembrane protein encoded at chromosome 17p13.3, a locus that has attracted attention in studies of adipocyte biology, glucose homeostasis, and several solid tumour models. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the human TUSC5 sequence and validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows, making it a useful tool for labs profiling the protein in cell lysates or in formalin-fixed tissue sections.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µL of polyclonal antiserum in a liquid format, with reactivity confirmed against human samples. Because TUSC5 expression has been investigated in obesity research, in insulin signalling, and as a candidate tumour suppressor in breast and lung tissue, the reagent is often cited for studies of adipose differentiation and cancer cell line panels. For long-term storage, keep the vial frozen at -20 °C in working aliquots, and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody titre across repeated experiments.

For research use only. Each lot is provided as unconjugated IgG, so the choice of secondary detection system remains with the end user, whether HRP for chromogenic IHC, biotin-streptavidin amplification, or a fluorophore-conjugated secondary for chemiluminescent or fluorescent Western blot detection.
