This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent targets the neuronal microtubule protein Tubulin beta III and is supplied as a 50 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. Validated by Antibodies.com for western blot workflows on human, mouse and rat samples, the antibody enables cross-species comparison of βIII-tubulin expression in neuroscience and tumor biology studies, where this isoform is widely used as a marker of differentiated post-mitotic neurons and as a biomarker relevant to chemoresistance in several solid tumor types.

The unconjugated format allows laboratories to couple the antibody to their preferred HRP, biotin or fluorophore reporter for chemiluminescent, colorimetric or immunofluorescence detection on nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes. The reagent is intended for research use only and supports typical applications including western blot characterization of neuronal cell lines, primary neuron cultures and tumor tissue lysates. For short term storage, refrigerate the vial at 4°C; for longer term retention of activity, aliquot and freeze to limit freeze-thaw cycles that can degrade polyclonal IgG preparations. Recommended western blot starting dilutions fall in the 1:500 to 1:2000 range depending on the abundance of βIII-tubulin in the sample and the sensitivity of the chosen detection system.
