The immunogen is a synthesized peptide derived from the C-terminal of human Tubulin α, and the antibody detects endogenous levels of total Tubulin α protein. It is formulated as rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL, and has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen. The antibody is shipped at 4°C; on receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at −20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
