Anti-Tubulin α Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent targets the alpha subunit of tubulin and is supplied as a 50 µl aliquot of unconjugated antiserum at 1 mg/ml. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen corresponding to a synthesized peptide derived from the C-terminal region of human Tubulin α. It is provided as a liquid formulation in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, and should be stored at -20 °C, where it remains stable for up to one year. Validated applications include Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF) and ELISA, and the reagent has been confirmed to react with human, mouse and rat samples, making it suitable as a loading-control or cytoskeletal marker across the most common experimental models. The polyclonal nature of the reagent allows it to detect endogenous levels of Tubulin α across multiple epitopes, while the unconjugated format gives researchers the flexibility to couple it to their preferred fluorophore, biotin or HRP for downstream detection. Suitable dilutions are typically WB: 1:500–1:1000, IHC: 1:50–1:100, IF: 1:100–1:500 and ELISA: 1:5000, although optimal working concentrations should always be determined empirically for each assay.
