This mouse monoclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com targets Tubulin β, the ~50 kDa globular subunit that pairs with α-tubulin to build microtubules. Supplied as 100 µl of purified immunoglobulin in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl with 0.2% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the unconjugated reagent is validated for Western blot and immunocytochemistry in human, mouse, rat, monkey, goat, and hamster samples.
Because β-tubulin is expressed constitutively at high levels in most cell types, researchers commonly deploy this reagent as a loading control to normalize protein input alongside variable targets of interest. In ICC workflows it resolves the filamentous microtubule network, while in WB it produces a clean band near the 50 kDa marker. Keep the vial refrigerated between uses, protect from light, and aliquot on first thaw to limit freeze-thaw cycles that erode binding activity over time.
