This polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com targets TUBB8, a beta-tubulin isotype with highly restricted expression in oocytes, the zygote, and pre-implantation embryos. Produced in rabbit and supplied at 100 µl, the unconjugated antibody is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows and shows reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples.

TUBB8 plays a structural role in meiotic and mitotic spindles, and loss-of-function variants in this gene have been linked to oocyte maturation arrest, fertilization failure, and early embryonic arrest in humans. Researchers studying female infertility genetics, spindle assembly in gametes, or the developmental biology of pre-implantation embryos use anti-TUBB8 antibodies to localize the protein in oocyte cytoplasm and to track its incorporation into the meiotic spindle apparatus.

For best results, aliquot upon first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store at -20 degrees C, protecting the antibody from light between experiments. The polyclonal format recognises multiple epitopes along TUBB8, which is helpful when working with primary oocyte material where sample volume is limited. Intended for research use only.
