Anti-TUBB Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal primary antibody targeting the TUBB protein (beta-tubulin), supplied as an unconjugated IgG reagent in a 100 µL vial by Antibodies.com. Beta-tubulin is the principal subunit of microtubules, a highly conserved cytoskeletal filament encoded by the TUBB gene with an apparent molecular weight of approximately 50 kDa. The antibody detects endogenous levels of total TUBB across human, mouse, and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. Known synonyms for this target include TUBB5, tubulin beta chain, and tubulin beta-5 chain.

Raised in rabbit, the polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes, which can improve signal robustness in Western blot band detection and chromogenic IHC staining of fixed tissue sections. Because TUBB is expressed constitutively at high levels across virtually all eukaryotic cell types, this reagent is widely used as a loading control to normalize protein input on Western blots, and is also used in IHC to visualize microtubule architecture and cytoskeletal integrity in fixed tissue sections.

The antibody is provided as a liquid formulation in PBS buffer containing 40% glycerol and 0.05% sodium azide. To preserve IgG activity, store refrigerated, protect from light, and avoid excessive freeze-thaw cycles when handling the vial. Aliquot upon first use if the reagent will be consumed slowly over multiple experiments.
