Anti-TUBA4A Antibody

Produced by Antibodies.com as a polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit, this anti-TUBA4A antibody recognizes the alpha-tubulin 4a protein encoded at chromosome 2q35 in human cells. Mutations in TUBA4A have been linked to familial amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and frontotemporal dementia, so laboratories studying motor neuron disease use the antibody to probe microtubule stability in patient-derived iPSC neurons, postmortem spinal cord tissue, and transgenic mouse models of ALS. The unconjugated antiserum is supplied as a 100 µl volume in a single-use vial and is validated for Western blot detection of the ~50 kDa tubulin band, immunohistochemistry on paraformaldehyde-fixed brain sections, and immunofluorescence imaging of cytoskeletal architecture in Human, Mouse, and Rat samples.
