Anti-TTR Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody targeting transthyretin (TTR), supplied by Antibodies.com in a 50 µl format. Raised in rabbit and purified as an unconjugated reagent, this primary antibody is used in immunohistochemistry workflows for visualization of TTR in rat tissue sections, including hepatic parenchyma, choroid plexus, and amyloid deposits associated with transthyretin amyloidosis. The target is a tetrameric transport protein responsible for carrying thyroxine and retinol-binding protein through the bloodstream and into the cerebrospinal fluid, and altered TTR conformations are implicated in familial amyloid polyneuropathy and restrictive cardiomyopathy. The reagent is intended for research use only, allowing chromogenic or fluorescent detection of endogenous TTR expression in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded rat samples through standard IHC protocols.
