Anti-TTR Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com targets transthyretin (TTR), a 55 kDa tetrameric protein best known for transporting thyroxine and retinol-binding protein. Raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated polyclonal IgG, this reagent is intended for immunohistochemistry applications on fixed tissue sections. Validated reactivity to rat TTR makes it useful in rodent models of transthyretin amyloidosis, familial amyloid polyneuropathy, and studies of choroid plexus function. Refrigerated storage preserves antibody activity, and the reagent is compatible with standard IHC workflows using antigen retrieval along with peroxidase or fluorescent detection to localize TTR expression in liver, heart, or nervous system tissue.
