Anti-TTC8 Antibody

The Antibodies.com anti-TTC8 polyclonal antibody targets tetratricopeptide repeat domain 8, a centrosomal and basal-body component of the BBSome ciliary trafficking complex linked to Bardet-Biedl syndrome type 8. Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated IgG reagent, this primary antibody is validated for western blot detection of the human TTC8 protein in cell lysates and is widely used in research on primary cilia formation, BBSome assembly, and ciliary membrane trafficking in patient-derived fibroblasts and ciliated cell models.

Each vial contains 200 µl of liquid antibody; the recommended storage condition is -20°C in single-use working aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw exposure. Working stocks may be supplemented with glycerol for short-term use. The unconjugated format gives laboratories flexibility in choosing secondary reagents: HRP-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondaries for western blot, fluorophore conjugates for immunofluorescence of centrosomes and cilia, and biotinylated secondaries for immunoprecipitation studies of BBSome complex composition. The antibody recognizes human TTC8 expressed in HEK293 and HeLa cells and supports ciliopathy and centrosome biology research programmes.
