Tissue-specific transplantation antigen 3 (TSTA3) is the enzyme GDP-L-fucose synthase, the NADPH-dependent oxidoreductase that catalyzes the final reduction step in the de novo synthesis of GDP-L-fucose, the essential sugar donor for fucosylation of glycoproteins and glycolipids. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com, raised in rabbit as an IgG and supplied unconjugated at 50 µl per vial, is validated for western blot detection of TSTA3 in human and mouse samples. Because TSTA3 sits at the branch point of de novo GDP-fucose production, investigators apply the antibody to studies of glycobiology, melanoma tumor antigens, and the inherited glycosylation disorder leukocyte adhesion deficiency type II. Cross-reactivity between the human and mouse orthologs enables parallel work in murine disease models and patient-derived material.
