Raised in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent, this unconjugated IgG preparation targets TSTA3, a cytosolic NADPH-dependent oxidoreductase also known as GDP-L-fucose synthetase and FCL. The enzyme catalyzes the final step in the de novo biosynthesis of GDP-L-fucose, the sugar nucleotide donor used by fucosyltransferases to build fucosylated glycans such as Lewis X and selectin ligands. TSTA3 expression therefore sits at the nexus of cellular fucose metabolism, with documented relevance to glycosylation-dependent signaling in immune cells and to the proliferation phenotype reported in certain tumor lines.
This Antibodies.com primary antibody is supplied as a 200 uL liquid aliquot and has been validated for Western blot detection of the target in both human and mouse sample backgrounds, giving it cross-coverage for comparative work between the two species. The rabbit host and polyclonal clonality favor recognition of multiple epitopes on the ~36 kDa TSTA3 protein, which can be useful when probing tissue lysates or cell-line extracts where post-translational context may vary. The reagent is unconjugated, so it is suited to standard immunoblotting workflows with a user-chosen secondary antibody, and it can also be adapted to immunoprecipitation or other non-conjugated ELISA-free readouts if the host laboratory has validated those applications.
For storage, keep the vial refrigerated at 4 degrees C for short-term use; for longer-term storage, freeze in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the antibody and preserve binding activity. Each shipment includes a product datasheet with the lot-specific validation data and recommended dilution ranges for WB on human and mouse lysates. Researchers studying fucose biosynthesis, glycan biology, metabolic reprogramming in cancer, or congenital disorders of glycosylation involving GDP-fucose metabolism will find this reagent a targeted tool for monitoring endogenous TSTA3 levels by Western blot.
