TRPV1 (Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid 1) is the molecular receptor for capsaicin and a key non-selective cation channel in thermal and inflammatory pain pathways. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognises TRPV1 and is raised in rabbit as an IgG reagent supplied unconjugated for flexible labelling.

The target channel is predominantly expressed in small-diameter sensory neurons of the dorsal root and trigeminal ganglia, where it integrates noxious heat (above 43 degrees C), protons, and endogenous lipid ligands to drive nociceptive signalling and hyperalgesia. Reactivity is confirmed against mouse TRPV1 in ELISA and Western blot applications. Each vial contains 100 µg of lyophilised antibody.

Typical workflows include Western blot detection in transfected heterologous expression systems and native murine neural lysates, alongside ELISA-based quantification. The unconjugated format allows pairing with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents of the researcher's choice.

The lyophilised product should be stored dry, protected from moisture. Once reconstituted, aliquot into single-use portions and store refrigerated; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity.
