The TRPV1 (Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid 1) channel is a non-selective cation channel best known as the capsaicin receptor. It is activated by noxious heat above approximately 43 °C, vanilloid compounds such as capsaicin, low pH, and endogenous lipid mediators, making it a focal point for nociception, thermosensation, and inflammatory pain research.
This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2. The antibody is validated for Western blot and shows reactivity with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, enabling cross-species expression studies in dorsal root ganglion neurons, sensory neurons, and pain-pathway tissues.
Provided as a 100 µl vial, the antibody is intended for research use only and is suitable for probing TRPV1 protein levels in cell lysates and tissue homogenates under denaturing SDS-PAGE conditions.
