TRPC4 is a member of the canonical transient receptor potential (TRPC) family of non-selective cation channels that mediate calcium and sodium influx across cell membranes. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against TRPC4 and recognizes the human and mouse orthologs, supporting studies of receptor-operated and store-operated calcium entry in endothelial cells, neurons, and other excitable tissues.

The antibody is supplied as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged in a 100 µl vial suitable for multiple western blot and immunohistochemistry experiments. Validated applications include western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), and the host species is rabbit.

For long-term storage, the glycerol-containing formulation remains stable at -20°C, with repeated freeze-thaw cycles avoided by aliquoting on first use. The polyclonal nature of the reagent improves the likelihood of recognizing multiple epitopes on the TRPC4 channel, which is useful when probing native tissue lysates or fixed sections where post-translational modifications can obscure a single linear epitope. Researchers studying vascular biology, neurophysiology, or G-protein coupled receptor signaling pathways can use this reagent to examine TRPC4 expression, distribution, and regulation.
