The TRPC3 protein (Transient Receptor Potential Canonical 3) is a receptor-operated, non-selective cation channel that conducts calcium and sodium across the plasma membrane in response to G-protein coupled and store-coupled signaling. In human tissues, TRPC3 is expressed in brain, cardiac myocytes, vascular smooth muscle, and several epithelial compartments, where it contributes to excitation-contraction coupling, calcium-dependent transcriptional control, and growth-factor responses.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against the human TRPC3 target and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. The reagent is supplied as a 100 µL liquid aliquot suitable for routine immunoblotting of cell and tissue lysates and for IHC on fixed paraffin or cryosections. Laboratories studying store-operated calcium entry, cardiac hypertrophy, neuronal excitotoxicity, and related signaling cascades commonly use anti-TRPC3 reagents to map channel expression and to probe functional interactions with calmodulin, IP3 receptors, and Orai1.

Because the antibody is polyclonal and produced in rabbit, it recognizes multiple epitopes on human TRPC3, which can improve tolerance for minor sample-to-sample variation. Standard primary antibody handling, including brief equilibration to room temperature before use and limiting repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the aliquot, helps preserve binding activity across long-term studies.
