Trk B (tropomyosin receptor kinase B), encoded by the NTRK2 gene, is a high-affinity receptor for BDNF and related neurotrophins that plays a central role in neuronal survival, differentiation, and synaptic plasticity. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against Trk B and validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human and mouse samples. Supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated reagent in a single-use vial, the polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes on the receptor, which is useful when probing full-length and processed Trk B isoforms in brain and peripheral tissues. Researchers commonly apply it to characterize BDNF–Trk B signaling in neurobiology, to map receptor distribution in fixed tissue sections, and to confirm expression changes in cell or animal models of neurodevelopment and disease. The unconjugated format allows flexible pairing with user-selected secondary antibodies and detection chemistries, including HRP, biotin, or fluorescence, depending on the WB or IHC protocol in use.
