Anti-Trk B Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the Tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB), a ~145 kDa transmembrane receptor that mediates signaling by brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and neurotrophin-4/5 in neuronal and non-neuronal cell populations.

Provided as an unconjugated reagent in a 100 µl vial, the antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) detection of full-length and truncated TrkB isoforms and for immunohistochemistry (IHC) localization in fixed tissue sections. It cross-reacts with both human and mouse TrkB, supporting studies in rodent disease models as well as in human clinical samples.

As a polyclonal reagent, the antibody recognizes multiple epitopes on the TrkB extracellular and intracellular domains, which can improve signal in immunoblots where single-epitope clones may miss particular splice variants.
