This Mouse Monoclonal antibody targets the C-terminus of TRIM28 (also known as KAP1 / TIF1-beta), a nuclear transcriptional co-repressor and E3 SUMO-protein ligase encoded by the TRIM28 gene. Distributed through Antibodies.com and supplied via AFMS, the reagent is offered as a 50 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in a Tris-Glycine buffer formulation containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl, 0.2% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and the antibody has been affinity-purified from mouse ascites by antigen-affinity chromatography to a purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. It is unconjugated and produced in a Mouse host as a Monoclonal of the IgG1 isotype, generated against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of human TRIM28 (Swiss-Prot Q13263), and is intended for use on Human samples in Western blot (WB, 1:1000), Immunohistochemistry (IHC, 1:500) and Immunocytochemistry (ICC, 1:200) workflows. Validation data on the manufacturer's datasheet shows detection of an endogenous ~100 kDa band in 293T and HepG2 cell lysates by Western blot, nuclear staining of paraffin-embedded human spleen by IHC, and clean cytoplasmic/nuclear staining of HeLa cells by ICC, confirming that the reagent recognises endogenous levels of TRIM28 without cross-reacting with related proteins. The product should be stored short term at 4 °C; for longer term storage it should be aliquoted and held at -20 °C with repeated freeze-thaw cycles avoided, and is shipped from the Antibodies.com distribution hub as a ready-to-use liquid reagent suitable for routine chromatin, DNA-damage-response and transcriptional-regulation research.
