Anti-Trichnosanthin Antibody [TCST-1]

A mouse monoclonal antibody supplied by Antibodies.com, clone TCST-1, is directed against Trichnosanthin and is validated for ELISA. The IgG1 reagent is unconjugated and supplied in lyophilised form, for reconstitution with double distilled water. Purification is carried out by Protein G affinity chromatography, and the product is formulated in 0.01M Phosphate Buffered Saline at pH 7.2, using highly purified TCST as the immunogen. The antibody is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles.

Trichnosanthin (TCST) is a plant toxin derived from Trichosanthes kirilowii, a member of the Cucurbitaceae family native to China, which can induce abortion in pregnant women. It is a ribosome inactivating protein that has been evaluated by some research groups as an HIV inhibition drug.
