Produced in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal primary antibody, this Antibodies.com reagent targets the human transcription factor Sp1. Sp1 is a sequence-specific, zinc-finger DNA-binding protein that regulates transcription from many promoters; the unconjugated format can be paired with an appropriate labeled secondary antibody for Western blot (WB) or immunohistochemistry (IHC) detection.

In human research samples, the antibody can be used to compare Sp1 protein abundance in cell or tissue extracts by WB and examine its distribution in tissue sections by IHC. Relevant research contexts include gene-expression studies, differentiation and stress-response experiments, and disease models in which Sp1 levels or localization are measured. Because the reported reactivity is human, performance in other species should be confirmed experimentally rather than assumed.

The product is supplied in a 100 µl size and is not enzyme- or fluorophore-conjugated. Follow the supplier's handling and storage instructions, and select secondary reagents and detection chemistry appropriate to the chosen application.
