The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent targets TRAM1 (Translocating Chain-Associated Membrane Protein 1), an integral membrane component of the endoplasmic reticulum translocon. TRAM1 participates in co-translational insertion of nascent secretory and membrane proteins into the ER lumen and has been implicated in ER stress signaling and the unfolded protein response, making it a relevant target for researchers studying protein biogenesis, secretory pathway function, and related disease mechanisms.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody is supplied as a 100 µL liquid aliquot and recognizes human TRAM1. Polyclonal reagents of this type bind multiple epitopes across the target, which is useful for capturing the native protein in denatured (Western blot) and structurally preserved (immunofluorescence) preparations. Validation has been performed for WB and IF, supporting detection of endogenous TRAM1 in cell lysates and localization studies on cultured human cells or tissue sections.

For Western blot, samples are usually prepared in standard lysis buffers, separated by SDS-PAGE, and transferred to membranes; the reagent is then applied at a working dilution appropriate for chemiluminescent or fluorescent read-out. For immunofluorescence, cells are fixed (commonly with paraformaldehyde) and permeabilized before incubation with the antibody, followed by a fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagent. Storage at -20 °C in small aliquots is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve reagent activity over time.
