TRAF5 (TNF Receptor-Associated Factor 5) is an E3 ubiquitin ligase and signal-transducing adaptor that links members of the TNF receptor superfamily to downstream effector pathways such as NF-κB activation.

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against TRAF5 and validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry. The unconjugated reagent is supplied as 100 µL of antiserum and detects the human protein in cell lysates and tissue sections.

In the immune system, TRAF5 transmits signals from CD40, RANK, and LTβR to activate NF-κB and AP-1 transcription factors, shaping T-cell costimulation, osteoclast differentiation, and lymphoid organogenesis. Loss-of-function studies in mice link TRAF5 to impaired germinal center formation and defective CD40-driven B-cell proliferation, making the protein a target of interest in inflammation, autoimmunity, and bone-resorption research.

The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes across TRAF5, which helps preserve signal when a single linear epitope is occluded by fixation or denaturation. Researchers studying TNF family signaling, NF-κB pathway regulation, or receptor-adaptor interactions can use this reagent to map TRAF5 expression across human samples by WB or to localize the protein to specific cell populations and tissue compartments by IHC.
