Anti-Tra-2α Antibody

Tra-2α (Transformer-2 alpha, also known as TRA2A or SFRS10) is a member of the SR protein family of nuclear splicing regulators that direct splice site selection during pre-mRNA processing. This unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and targets the human and mouse orthologue, supporting cross-species expression studies.

The antibody is supplied as a 100 µl vial and has been validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows. In western blot it detects an endogenous band consistent with the ~32-34 kDa size typical of SR proteins, while IHC and IF allow visualization of nuclear localization in cultured cells and tissue sections. Because Tra-2α is an RNA-binding splicing regulator with documented roles in spermatogenesis and neural development, this reagent is also of interest to groups studying alternative splicing in stem cell, germ cell, and tumor models.
