Anti-TPSAB1 Antibody

The Antibodies.com Anti-TPSAB1 polyclonal reagent targets human, mouse, and rat tryptase alpha/beta 1, a serine protease selectively packaged within the secretory granules of mast cells. Because TPSAB1 expression is largely restricted to mast cell populations, this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal is commonly used by research groups investigating mastocytosis, allergic inflammation, and the cellular infiltrate of solid tumors.

The antibody is supplied as a 50 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and has been validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections as well as cultured cells. Researchers profiling tumor microenvironment biopsies and bone-marrow aspirates for mast-cell density, or studying degranulation in models of anaphylaxis, frequently pair this reagent with tryptase activity assays and CD117 co-staining to distinguish TPSAB1-positive mast cells from basophils.

Aliquoting upon first use is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve epitope recognition across extended studies.
