Tropomyosin 2 (TPM2) is an actin-binding protein that regulates thin filament function in skeletal muscle, smooth muscle, and non-muscle cytoskeletal systems. Mutations in the TPM2 gene are linked to nemaline myopathy, cap myopathy, and distal arthrogryposis, making reliable detection of this isoform important for muscle disease research. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against TPM2 and validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows in human and mouse samples. Provided as 100 µl of ready-to-use reagent, it supports multiple experiments from a single vial and is appropriate for studies of cardiac, skeletal, and vascular smooth muscle differentiation, as well as cytoskeletal organization in non-muscle cell types. Researchers working on sarcomere assembly, contractile protein expression, or hereditary myopathy models can apply it to probe endogenous TPM2 levels in tissue sections and cell lysates, with reactivity confirmed across the two most commonly used mammalian model systems.
