Anti-TP53 (phospho S15) Antibody

This phospho-specific polyclonal reagent raised by antibodies.com detects human TP53 phosphorylated at serine 15, a key post-translational mark generated early in the DNA damage response cascade. ATM and ATR kinases catalyze this modification in cells exposed to genotoxic stress such as ionizing radiation, ultraviolet light, or topoisomerase inhibition, and phospho-S15 TP53 is therefore widely used as a read-out of p53 activation in studies of apoptosis, cell-cycle arrest, and tumor suppressor signaling.

The antibody is produced in rabbit (IgG isotype), unconjugated, and supplied at 100 µl for detection of endogenous phospho-p53 by Western blot in human cell lines and tissue lysates. Because it is phospho-site-selective, it can be paired with a total TP53 antibody to compare phosphorylated versus total p53 pools across treatment conditions, time courses, or genotoxic challenges.
