Manufactured by Antibodies.com as a high-purity research reagent, this monoclonal antibody specifically recognizes the N-terminal region of TORC1 (also known as CRTC1, MECT1, KIAA0616, FLJ14027, and WAMTP1), a CREB-regulated transcription coactivator. The reagent is supplied as 50 µl of purified mouse IgG2b monoclonal antibody in a liquid formulation buffered with 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4) and 150 mM NaCl, supplemented with 0.2% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. It is unconjugated, allowing direct detection with secondary antibodies of choice, and it is recommended for multiple immunoassay workflows including Western blot (WB), immunocytochemistry (ICC), flow cytometry (FC), and immunoprecipitation (IP). The antibody is raised in mouse and is of the IgG2b isotype, cloned from a monoclonal hybridoma line, and it specifically detects endogenous levels of TORC1/CRTC1 without cross-reacting with related proteins. Its species reactivity is validated for human samples. The product should be stored refrigerated for short-term use and frozen at -20 °C in aliquots for long-term stability, consistent with standard handling of sodium-azide-containing antibody buffers. Catalog listing A32475 from Antibodies.com is intended for research use only and provides a reliable tool for probing TORC1-dependent transcriptional regulation in cell biology and signaling studies.
