This Mouse IgM monoclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets TORC1 (also called CRTC1, CREB-regulated transcription coactivator 1), a transcriptional coactivator that binds phosphorylated CREB and drives expression of CRE-dependent genes involved in glucose metabolism, long-term memory, and osteoblast differentiation. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of purified protein in 0.1 M Tris-glycine buffer at pH 7.4 with 150 mM NaCl, 50% glycerol, and 0.2% sodium azide as preservative, and is validated for Western blot applications across human, mouse, rat, and monkey samples. Each lot is unconjugated and derived from a monoclonal hybridoma line, providing batch-to-batch consistency for reproducible detection of endogenous TORC1 in whole-cell lysates and tissue homogenates. For best results, store the vial at -20 °C in small aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light; the glycerol cryoprotectant permits short-term bench use without loss of activity. Researchers working on CREB signaling pathways, melanocyte biology, and neuronal plasticity rely on this reagent for routine immunoblotting studies. The reagent is intended for research use only and should be handled by laboratory personnel familiar with sodium azide-containing buffers.
