Because topoisomerase I cleavage complexes are the molecular target of camptothecin, irinotecan, and topotecan chemotherapy, accurate detection in cell lysates and tissue sections is a routine requirement for DNA damage response and drug-sensitivity research.

The reagent is supplied as a 200 µl vial of affinity-purified antibody recognizing multiple epitopes on the approximately 91 kDa human and mouse TOP1 protein, supporting western blot analysis of denatured lysates, immunoprecipitation of the native enzyme, and immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded specimens.
