TOLLIP is an ubiquitin-binding adaptor protein that negatively regulates Toll-like receptor signaling and modulates innate immune responses. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated reagent in a vial, validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence across human, mouse, and rat samples.
Within IL-1R and TLR pathways, TOLLIP dampens MyD88-dependent signaling and participates in cargo recognition during autophagy. These biological roles place TOLLIP at the intersection of inflammation research, host response to bacterial infection, and studies of neurodegenerative mechanisms. Polyclonal reactivity enables recognition of multiple epitopes on the target, which is useful when probing endogenous expression in cell lysates or fixed tissue sections.
For handling, store the antibody refrigerated at 4 °C, protected from light, and divide into single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Working dilutions should be optimized empirically for each application; intended for research use only.
