Raised in rabbit against the human Transition Protein 2 (TNP2) nuclear basic protein, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl in a vial and is validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples. Recommended storage is at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the polyclonal antiserum. TNP2 is transiently expressed in elongating spermatids, where it facilitates the histone-to-protamine chromatin remodeling that compacts the sperm nucleus, making the antibody a useful marker in reproductive biology studies of spermatid differentiation, male germ cell maturation, and infertility research. Polyclonal reactivity against the target provides broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal reagent, while the unconjugated format allows laboratories to pair it with their preferred secondary detection reagents, fluorophores, or HRP conjugates for either blotting membranes or fixed-cell imaging.
